Summer Fun

It feels a bit odd to be writing and publishing blogs to a hidden website - but, I guess you’ve got to start somewhere, right? We are gearing up for the end-of-the-year and let’s just say we are ALL tired ;) Luckily for me, my husband surprised me with a trip and we leave just as the soon as the kids start summer break!!

If you’ve got school-aged children, you’re probably on the same wave length as we are…… WE NEED A BREAK! I’m looking forward to the relaxation and recharge (and also binge reading at least 4 books from my TBR stack that somehow now goes away). This will be our first summer with two kids at home full time (one has part time childcare so we can go out and have fun doing ‘big kid things’) and I’m anxiously awaiting the sounds of, “I’m so bored!” when I tell them we aren’t leaving our house. I mean, every time we do….it costs $50-$100 minimum. MAKE IT MAKE SENSE. So, let’s just say the Knierim kids will be having a very 90s summer in our stock tank pool out in the woods ;)

I really am playing this whole new website out as a trial and error kind of deal. I’m usually a planner (I’ve been in retail since 2010 so my brain has shifted to thinking MONTHS ahead - exhausting!) but I really don’t know how it will all go on here. Maybe I’ll use it like my Xanga account and bring blogs back? If there’s anything coming back around, my vote is on blogs written by actual humans. Oh, and also…. 90s summers that are reaaaaal cheap !!
